Weddings Rock

Wedding Trends. Who decides them?

NiNoI'm not completely sure. The Knot, Brides Magazine, Huffington Post, etc, all seem to have their say in what's hot for 2015. And after looking over, and staying on top of the latest trends I'm realizing what works in LA, will not work in NYC--and surely what works in Miami will not work in our corner of Pennsylvania.

After increasing my Instagram presence (make sure you're following @thepwplanner!) I've seen photos, ideas, and precious weddings from all over the world. Ironically in the past few weeks I've seen an increase in geological additions to your typical wedding. From place settings, to invitations, to guest books, and cake decor, rocks seem to be showing up again. Again, because I'm pretty sure the "geological wedding" was a 2012 trend. Am I saying it's the next big thing? Absolutely not. But the rock collector in me absolutely loves the deep colors of geodes that are shining bright in the wedding world.

So the bottom line, Weddings Rock. Whether you add rock candy to your drinks, or add some color to your cake table, I'd be happy to see the geological wedding trend come back. And if rocks aren't your taste -- that's okay too. Weddings are one of the best places to show your personal taste, whether it's on the 2015 wedding trend list or not.

Best wishes!
