Jenny + Michael

When Jenny first contacted me, I knew we’d be a great team in putting the final touches together for her dream wedding. Her and Michael love the outdoors and fell in love with a beautiful local venue called Lackawac Sanctuary in Lake Ariel, PA. Their wedding day was absolutely perfect, and seeing the love they have for each other was such a beautiful thing. Definitely one of the perks of the job is being able to witness two souls come together forever.

So let’s dig in to their day! All photos by the incredible Bethel Ann Photography. She fits their style perfectly!

Jenny’s beautiful dress from BHLDN hanging from the entrance of the ceremony site. Originally we had all the chairs indoors, but at the last minute as I scoured the radar, we moved everything outside! I knew Jenny and Michael would prefer this and it worked out perfectly.

While the bride, groom and family got ready, my assistant and I were putting on final touches to the reception site. Jenny was the most organized bride ever and had everything in boxes ready to go! We set up the seating chart, menu cards, table runners, candles, etc. We were also available for the vendors who started arriving to give direction and make sure everyone had what they needed.

(Shameless plug for WHY you need a planner! Your mom, sister, MOH, or whoever should be relaxing with you and enjoying this momentous day. Leave the little details to us ;)

Bethel picked out the perfect first look spot away from any eyes so they could have a moment together. The anticipation right before this moment is so sweet. I always love helping the bride get to the first look, because I get to see the excitement/tears/shaking of seeing their significant other for the first time.

Their ceremony was performed by Michael’s brother in law, and it was so personal! I love when couples have a family member or friend officiate their wedding. They also added some special touches that was homage to Jenny’s heritage.

El Lazo: The wedding lasso tradition is a unity ceremony performed after the exchange of vows using a lasso or rope to join the couple. It is placed over the couple's shoulders in a figure eight and symbolizes their everlasting union and status as one in the eyes of the Lord

Las arras matrimoniales (wedding coins): This Mexican wedding tradition are a set of 13 gold coins, that are presented to the bride as a symbol of the groom’s trust in her, and symbolize the groom’s financial treasures.

That just married feeling!! Guests were then able to enjoy cocktail hour, delicious food, music, and a good time. Plus some more beautiful portraits.
